A Little About Me...
My name is Lawrence Brown.
I've been in the video games industry for over 20 years. I've done a lot of things over the years, and Anthracite Games is the company I started to provide a framework for all my projects moving forward.
My current focus is in VR, having worked with VRcade and then becoming a Vive developer. Previously, some of my experience has included:
Wizards of the Coast - where I did production and learned game design from the best.
Microsoft - Environmental artist on Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge for the original Xbox (I did Chicago, Arizona, and early test levels, among other things).
Battlefield:Pirates - a mod I created for Battlefield:1942. Originally done as a portfolio piece to show art directors, it evolved into a full game on it's own, ultimately getting over half a million downloads.
Electronic Arts - Mod Support Coordinator, teaching the various mod teams how to use the tools to create mods for Battlefield:1942 and Battlefield 2. They created this position for me because of the Battlefield:Pirates mod.
Griptonite Studios - where I worked as a level artist, effects artist, or level designer on various projects, include Where The Wild Things Are and Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet.
After all that, I continued on my own, working on various projects, some game related, some not, which lead me to here: releasing my first Vive game, Space Junk Patrol, on Steam. See more about this project in it's own tab.
Crimson Skies: Chicago at night.
Crimson Skies: One of the tower buildings.
Battlefield:Pirates: A fight between two of the galleons.
